Radford City Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center has Moved!

It is now located at Radford High School.

Coordinators:  Peggy Kinzer  (Parent)

                        Sharon Kimbleton (Teacher)

The Parent Resource Center (PRC) promotes student success by helping parents and educators to plan together and to participate fully and effectively in their children's educational development.

The PRC has a lending library offering books, videos, and other resources specific to student, parent and teacher concerns. Topics include:  Parenting Skills, Behavior Modification Strategies, Homework, Study Skills and Test Taking, and others, as well as sections dedicated to each of the individual special needs areas.

Workshops are held throughout the school year on a variety of topics.  Any interested member of the community is invited to attend these free workshops.  If you have a topic you would like to have offered in a workshop, please call and suggest it to the PRC Coordinator.  We will do our best to arrange one.

We also send out a quarterly newsletter with information about support groups,  announcements of upcoming events or workshops, and short articles on topics of interest to parents and teachers

The Parent Resource Center is located in Room 25 in the Vocational Building at Radford High School.  If you want to visit the center please stop by the Central Office for a visitor’s pass.  The Parent Resource Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM or by appointment.  If you would like more information about the Parent Resource Center please email prc@rcps.org or call Peggy Kinzer at (540) 731-3649 ext. 6166.
