| Zip Zap Map is a fast-paced geography game designed to challenge your U.S. geography knowledge of the 50 states, their capitals, & significant physical features of each state. Points are earned by placing the state information in the correct position as quickly as possible by using the space bar and the arrow keys on the keyboard.  Mavis
Beacon Teaches Typing- Mavis is a typing tool to aid in learning
keyboarding. Through the use of repetition and earned games, the
students learn how to use the keyboard, and increase their typing
speed. |
The fourth grade is learning how to use Microsoft Word for word processing. They will be writing stories about their trips to Natural Bridge, Smithfield, and Appomattox. They also will be learning how to use the copy and paste functions. | |||
| The fourth and fifth graders will learn how to make a database. The 4th graders will use information they research about Virginia for their data; and the 5th graders use information about themselves for their databases. They will learn how to record, and sort different kinds of data. | Fifth graders will learn how to make a spreadsheet using data provided by a class activity. They will also be learning how to make a PowerPoint presentation which will be shown to their classmates in their classrooms. | |||
