I've been the Radford High School Video Production Teacher since Aug 1, 2018 this will be the start of my 5th year teaching. I graduate from Radford High School in 1995. After graduating from Radford University in 2000 with a BS in Electronic Media Production, My husband and I moved to Los Angeles, California. While in California, I worked as a camera woman for a game show, worked as a background actress on film and tv shows, and produced commercials, and video web content for local businesses and organizations. I'm also a published photographer. My work has appeared in newspapers and business journals. Our family moved back to Virginia in 2008. Where I keep working in film producing several indie short films and music videos. I worked on iMissVirginia this past spring of 2022. I love working at RHS and equipping students with the skills they need to work in video production or incorporate those skills into any field they choose. My favorite part about RHS is the community. Go Bobcats! 

 

 

In the Spring of 2022, VHSL Film Team made some pretty impressive wins. 

Creativity Inspired was 3rd place in the VHSL STATE FlLM FESTIVAL!

Monotony took home Best Narrative short and won the audience award at the VSHL FILM FESTIVAL for 2022! 

Monotony is now an official selection of the All American High School Film Festival! Go Bobcats! 

 

The Video Students also took home a lot of awards from the Radford University Spring Film Festival.
