Welcome to the Nurse's Office!
Welcome to Dalton Intermediate and Radford High School Nurse's Office! I am very excited about this coming school year and to see all our wonderful students back in the building. I have been a nurse for 10 years with my background in Pediatrics. This will be my 3rd year with Radford City Schools and I instantly fell in love with Radford and will always be a Bobcat.
The National Association of School Nurses defines school nursing as:
A specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success, and life- long achievement of students. To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning.
If your child has any health concerns or will require any medications while attending school please reach out to me so I can help monitor and keep them safe for when they return home to you. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please feel free to call the school or email me. My email is [email protected]
I look forward to all the wonderful things to come this school year!
