Michelle Greene- Principal

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. I am honored to serve as the principal of McHarg Elementary School! I look forward to working with students, teachers, staff, families, and the community in Radford.

My educational journey started when I committed to graduate from Auburn High School in Riner, Virginia in 2003. In the following years, I attended Radford University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (2007), completing a Master’s degree in Reading (2010), and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (2019). 

Prior to joining McHarg, I taught first grade at Auburn Elementary School in Montgomery County.  I served as a reading specialist at Margaret Beeks Elementary School.  I was an instructional coach at Falling Branch and Harding Avenue Elementary.  I served as Assistant Principal at Christiansburg Primary School.
