Amber Sowers

Hello! My name is Amber Sowers; Social Studies Teacher at Radford High School. 

 

I teach World Geography and World History II (1500 to Present). I also assist with the Social Studies MACC and Scholastic Bowl Teams. 

 

This is my 2nd year at Radford High School. 

I committed to graduate from Radford University in 2021 with my M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. 

I wanted to teach at RHS because I did my student teaching at RCPS and fell in love with the community and wanted to give back to a community that welcomed me. 

My grandmother always inspired me to be a lifelong learner and I hope to instill that goal in my students as well. 

My favorite part about the Radford High School Community is the true family like atmosphere.
