Good nutrition is critical to a student’s academic success. It is the policy of the Radford City School Nutrition Program that school meals will never be denied, even in the instance of a high balance due on a student’s account. Students will also never be given a less appealing “alternate meal” if money is owed.

McHarg and Belle Heth Elementary Schools will be serving Sun Butter & Jelly Sandwiches as a lunch choice starting Monday, February 26th!

The FDA, along with CDC, state and local agencies, are investigating a multistate outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 illnesses likely linked to romaine lettuce. The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Canadian Food Inspection Agency, are also coordinating with U.S. agencies as they investigate a similar outbreak in Canada.  

 

At this time, NO romaine/romaine blends, including spring mix, will not be served or consumed in the Radford City Schools until further notice. Chef salads on Thursday's will not be offered until a safe & approved alternate is available. Food safety is top priority for the Radford City School Nutrition Program. Thank You
