I committed to graduate from Radford High School in 1989. I also committed to graduate from Radford University in 1993 with BBA in Accounting. Shirley Gearheart, Radford High School Math teacher, was my favorite teacher. She challenged me and inspired my love of Math. I moved away from Radford after graduating from college to get work experience in accounting but I always planned to move back to New River Valley to raise my family. In 1995, I saw an ad for Bookkeeper position at the Radford CIty School Board office and knew I had to apply. I was so excited when I got the position, I would now be able to help and give back to the school system that had provided me with the best education I could have. My children are now attending to Radford City Schools where they can also get the best education.
