Week of November 12 - 20th
Remember the week of the 19th we only have two days of school.  Happy Thanksgiving:)

Reading/Language Arts:

Students are responsible for reading 100 minutes outside of class each week.  They must write a short summary (at least two sentences) of what they read and note the time spent each day.   Parents need to sign the reading log. These are due EVERY Monday unless I tell them otherwise.

Each Friday in Mrs. Luckett's class she will give a quiz on vocabulary, reading skills, and spelling.

Language Arts IXLs:  V1, Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4 are due on Monday 11/12

Language Arts IXLs: L3, BB7, BB8, and BB9 also in 6th grade K1 are due on Monday 11/19

Math:

EVERY night they will have a homework/review and remember workbook page.  We will also have weekly IXL assignments. We will have a QUIZ on variables on Friday, November 16th.

Math IXLs:  B6, B7, M6, R2 andS5 are due Monday 11/12

Your child also has a login/password for reflex math, prodigy math, and IXL. These are websites accessible from home.  The best way to become fluent in math is practice, practice, practice.

Social Studies:

We will begin our study of the Native Americans. The test for that unit will be on November 14th. After Thanksgiving break our student intern, Mrs. Carico, will be working with both classes and teaching the waterways unit. The test on waterways will be on December 6th.

Science:

The final section test on Matter will be on Friday, November 16th. We will then do a quick two-day review of electricity. After the break, we will begin a unit on Sound.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE…..

Every Monday: Monday Folder home. Parents, please sign the Progress Report.

If you plan to travel home or to the Rec. Center in a different manner than usual, you MUST have a note. This is for the safety of all Belle Heth students.
