Radford City Schools

Bethany Worrell
Library Media Specialist
This is my fourth year at Belle Heth Elementary and I'm so excited! Previously, I was a librarian in Wythe County.
A couple of fun facts about me:
I am from Hillsville, Va.
I have a dog that I love dearly and am a big animal lover!
My idea of a perfect day would be spending hours on the beach with a book.
I committed to graduate from Carroll County High School in 2005. I also committed to graduate from Radford University in 2009 with a degree in Elementary Education and again in 2010 with a Masters in Education with a Library Media concentration.
I always knew I wanted to be an elementary education teacher. But I was inspired to become a librarian after being a library helper in the 5th grade! I did an internship in high school with the same librarian and just knew that being surrounded by books was the life for me! She really inspired my love for teaching, children, and books!
This year, I am looking forward to expanding and updating our library collection to find books that everyone enjoys! I am also looking forward to continuing to build our MakerSpace and engineering experiences for students through literature!
