Matthew Whelan
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!!
My name is Matthew Whelan and I am the Bobcat Bridge Alternative Education Program Teacher. I work with students from both Dalton Intermediate School and Radford High School.
I have been in education since 2004, after eight years as a paraprofessional I committed to graduate from the University of Houston in 2012 with my teaching degree.
I chose to become a teacher so that I could be an advocate for students who struggle in school. I myself struggled with school and I wish there had been a teacher there to advocate for me when I needed one. My favorite part of the Radford High School community is the way that I am listened to when I advocate for these students.
