I committed to graduate from Floyd County High School in 2006. I also committed to graduated from Radford University with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education in 2010 with Summa Cum Laude.
Before coming to Radford, I taught middle and high school choir along with general music for six years in Marion Virginia beginning in 2010. I decided to come to Radford High School because in 2010 I did my student teaching at Dalton Intermediate and Radford High School with Lois Castonguay. I had such a great experience with the students and teachers at Radford that it was my dream to come back and teach here.
Part of my inspiration for wanting to become a choral director and teacher came from my high school choral director. She provided us such a great experience that I wanted to be able to share music and singing with other students.
My favorite part about the Radford High School and Dalton Intermediate School Community is how close everyone is. Anytime you need help with a task there is always someone there to step in and help out. I am always impressed with the amount of work that students, teachers, and parents put in to make our school community so wonderful.
