Andrew Cox
Welcome! You have found the staff page of Andrew Cox at Radford High School. This year marks my sixth year in education- all at RHS. I am a 2013 graduate of RHS and a 2017 graduate of Radford University where I received a B.S. in Social Sciences with a teaching license and a minor in Political Science. I currently teach US Government and Personal Finance while also serving as the Head Baseball Coach. I enjoy the content I teach and more importantly the students I have the privilege of teaching.
I chose the field of education for many different reasons. Primarily, teaching gives me the opportunity to establish lifelong relationships with students and families in this great city. Radford is a very special place filled with tradition and a sense of pride in being a Bobcat. I was blessed with the opportunity to become a teacher/coach at RHS early in my career and give back to a community that gave me many positive experiences. Besides my parents, Coach Freeman and Coach Cormany were two influential figures in my life and provided me avenues to consider pursuing the teaching/coaching profession. I am forever grateful for their time, influence, and passion to make a difference in the lives of young people.
My favorite part of the Radford High School community is our sense of pride and love for one another. We are one big family! All school staff at RHS are after the same goal- to provide your son/daughter the best educational/athletic experiences possible! Through the highs and lows, RHS works to provide and equip future leaders for the road ahead. Go Bobcats!
