Radford City Schools Celebrate Outstanding Regional Recognition and Student Achievement
Radford, VA — Radford City Schools is proud to announce multiple significant academic recognitions across all schools. These accomplishments highlight the division’s continued commitment to excellence, growth, and student success.
Radford High School has received Distinguished Recognition in the Virginia Department of Education's School Performance and Support Framework in Region 7. This honor reflects strong instructional engagement, student achievement, and sustained improvement.
Dalton Intermediate School has also earned impressive regional recognition, ranking #2 overall by total points in the Region 7 framework. Additionally, the intermediate school achieved placement in the Top 5 schools in the region in several key academic indicators:
Top 5 in Mastery - Reading, Top 5 in Growth - Reading, Top 5 in Growth – Math
At the elementary level, Radford City Schools is celebrating exceptional success with our English Learners. Our two elementary schools are ranked #1 and #2 in Region 7 for English Learner performance, demonstrating the division’s dedication to inclusive practices, targeted supports, and high expectations for all students.
